An update, on me this time...
Hey guys, just a quick update for those who are reading this still... I am in the hospital (as of Sunday night). I actually brought Chris in because he was having major abdominal pains and was throwing up everything (sorry about the tmi). While I was here anyway, I asked them to check me for a UTI because I was having trouble peeing (sorry for tmi again) and I had a fever of 102.5. Well, it turned out I have a Kidney infection, which also explained the problems in my back. I have been on IV antibiotic since Sunday late night and am now also getting iron supliments because my iron came back very low. My parents are keeping Gabby for us right now, and Chris still has Alina (Charlie {my lil bro}) keeps Alina during the day. It was funny, because the ER doctor called our family doctor and said "I have 2 of your patients here, and I am admitting the one that I did not think I would be admitting, and sending hmoe the one I thought I would be admitting." Chris brought Alina to see me this evening. She just sat in my lap looking at me for a good 5 minutes. Then she wanted daddy! Ugh, I hope she is not mad at me! Thanks for your continued prayers.

Will she be an artist?
Gabby has been expressing herself with drawing for quite some time now. Ever since her attempt to give us a work of art on the living room wall with pen, we have resorted to her only drawing being on her magna-doodle. I wanted to share with you all one of her recent works of art, keeping in mind she is 2, and not an art major in university!

When I asked her who was in the picture, she said "Daddy, Mommy, Bubba, Gabby, Alina & Baby!"

I am still trying to figure out why Alina is the only angry one... lol... maybe Gabby is showing me how she felt when Alina came along.... nonetheless, I am proud of Gabby! I think she is doing great as an artist, I mean, it's in her blood... her daddy went to university to study art!

Not much new, that's a lie!
Well..... we have had a lot going on! And I mean a lot! The girls keep us very busy. Alina is almost walking... she stands around, and when she sees that you see her, she plops down as if to say "just kidding, I can't stand up!" It is so funny! She is also doing very well with a straw cup! She is growing up way to fast! I don't like that! Gabriella is, well, a two year old, and then some. We are going for a 2 hour appointment sometime soon to let the doctor better understand all the things she does. He will be trying to figure out if her thinks it is more than just "toddler behavior"! The pregnancy is going well. I am 16 weeks, and 6 days along. I get my only ultrasound (unless I pay for 3D/4D) on November 20th. They do not tell you the gender, even if you want to know here... so this will be our 3rd surprise... We are hoping for a boy, but will be happy regardless. And this is the end! No more kids for us! We are done, Done, DONE! We are both getting fixed! I will update again soon. Sorry it has been so long!

Our Wii died :(
So, our Wii is officially DEAD! We bought it in May of this year, so it is not even half a year old. I am pretty sad though, because now I can't do my Wii Fit! I spent about an hour on the phone with Nintendo today. Well, it is still under warranty, so I am shipping it out on Monday... she said it will take 9-12 days from when they get it to have it fix (or replaced) and mailed back to us. So, a couple weeks without the Wii... more cleaning time... And, I have to find another way to keep this girlish figure, HAHAHAHA!

Yes, A REAL POST!
Well... I sure don't do well for keeping this up, now do I? I try to keep facebook up to date, but I just seem to forget about my blog. Life is going, okay for now. The girls are doing pretty well. Alina started getting the spots on her bum that Gabby has been getting for about a year now.... it is not fun, because Alina, my bath loving baby, now hates the bath! It must hurt when she is sitting, because she screams when I put her in there. Right now she has one so bad that she has to be in paper diapers! It was bleeding and gooing really bad, and I just don't think the cloth diapers would do her much good with that. She is going to the doctor today to have it check out. I am worried as to what can be causing them. We thought it was something in the old house... because Gabby's cleared up almost right after we moved... but a couple weeks ago one showed up on her tummy. It is so frustrating that the doctors can't figure out what they are or what is causing them. Other than that, they are doing good.
This pregnancy must be going well, because I still don't feel pregnant! I have a tiny belly, it is quite cute... but I have no pregnancy symptoms... and I am NOT complaining! I have been loosing weight, rather than gaining... and in most cases, I would be okay with that... but not during a pregnancy. They determined that I have a hyperactive thyroid, which accounts for the weight loss, and they are trying to determine now the best treatment. I have a job interview this afternoon. Nothing big, it is at Wendy's... but hey, it's a job, and we could use the extra income for winter oil and Christmas for the kids. Plus, they offer awesome benefits!
Well, that is about all I have for you. Check out my facebook for pictures. I should be adding some soon!

What's new?
Well, we have been extremely busy, that's for sure! The kids keep me busy most of the day, and I regret that I have to wait until a sleepless night to update you on the happenings of us. However, I have found that not many of you really mind all that much, as I have very few visiters that read my updates. Nevertheless, I update for those that do.
Alina's bum thanks me for all the hard work and time that I put into cloth diapering her. Chris is not really on board with the idea, so it really is me 100%. She is growing up so fast, I just can't believe it. Tooth number 3 and tooth number 4 are working their way into the top front, and boy does she let us know that they are coming! She is so close to walking it is not even funny! She loves to clap, laugh, growl, and say "mamamamammaa". Her newest "word" is nigh-nigh" and she really does start saying this when it is time for her night time bottle. I can't believe that she is already 9 1/2 months! Time goes by so fast!
Gabriella is a little stinker! She has been 98% potty trained since March. It is frustrating that all of her accedints are not at all that! They are purposful, and does in spite of me. She will "poop" on the floor on purpose just so she will get that little bit of extra attention, and it is driving me batty! I try so hard just to ignore the bad behaviour, put her on the potty, and clean up the mess; but sometimes, I can't help but fuss at her! She is a very smart girl, singing her ABC's, counting to 15 in 3 languages (english, french and spanish) and even recognizing all of her letters, numbers and colours! She loves to sing "the itsy bitsy spider", "twinkle twinkle", "row row row your boat" ad many more. She is a funny little girl!
Christian has been doing a bunch of babysitting this summer, and even saved enough money to buy gutair hero 3 & the gutair. We ar pretty proud of him. He will be in grade 7 this fall! He skipped grade 5 last year, and did excellent in grade 6! He is, however, a typical 11 (almost 12) year old, and can be a bit of a handful. He helps out, some, and expects a lot, but also knows that he can't have everything that he wants. This summer has been all about learning that you have to earn the things you want.
Chris and I have been working through a lot od issue this passed year. The move from Texas did a number on us, and then adding in a new baby and no job for Chris for the first nine months was not to helpful. We have been on the upward slope though, and are greatful for all the thoughts and prayers that have been sent out for us!
Well, I guess that is about all for our update. I do have one more thing, totally off topic. Please check this out and get an idea of what may parent shave been up to for the past 2 1/2 years here on PEI.

A Sad Day
I know I don't post on here much, but today I just felt the need to vent. Not your everyday vent either. I got word today that a dear friend lost his life on Monday. His name was Jim. Jim was introduced to me last summer at my parents' Tea Room. Jim quickly became a regular, and we saw him almost every day, sometimes twice in a day. He was always challenging my brothers to make something too spicy for him to eat. Jim's favourite drink was "Teamanaide" which is half a glass of ice tea and half a glass of lemonade. Everyone on staff knew to get that as Jim walked in the door. Jim also enjoyed all the Tex-Mex things on the menu.
Over the winter, Jim took ill. He had pancriatitis. He never really got better. Just as he was starting to plan his trip back to PEI for the summer, he died of Cardiac arrest. Jim will be truely missed. In his honour, my parents will be adding "Jim's Teamanade" onto the menu.

What's Happening?
I figured that I should update you all on what is going on with us. Our lives are about to change again, however this time, it is a good thing! Chris got a letter in the mail on Friday that he was approved to get a work visa for this job he was offered. The employer took the time to do all the necessary paperwork, and waited for the government approval. Chris and I and the girls will be taking a trip to the border (Woodstock/Houlton) tomorrow. This will be our van’s first BIG trip. It is about a 4 hour drive to the border from our house, and then a 4 hour drive back home. Plus any time spent at the border, stops for gas, eating and bathroom…. It is going to be an all day trip.
We are excited that this has gone through and that Chris will be able to go back to work, and we can stop worrying about how we will pay the next bill!
Alina will have her first physical therapy session this Friday. It was supposed to be last Friday, but we went to the wrong hospital, so it had to be rescheduled. I am in hopes that Chris and I can quickly learn the steps we need to take to help Alina strengthen her neck muscles.
Gabriella had to go to the hospital again this past Friday. I noticed during her bath that her girly area was swollen on the left side, and there was a grape sized purple lump on the lip. We took her in, and they did an ultrasound on it. The doctor put her on antibiotics, hoping that it will clear up, but he thinks we will have to have it drained (which means she will be sedated). It is a large absest that is filled with a puss that needs to be drained. It showed up rather quick, because she takes a bath every night before bed, and I only noticed it Friday night. With her being 99.9% potty trained, we don’t see that area much.
Christian is doing well in school. He still has all A’s and B’s, but one C in Social Studies…. He says it is because he has never had Canadian History before. His teacher says it is because he is rushing to be done quickly. I think his teacher is on the right track.
Well, that is our “little” update. Here are a few recent pictures... Gabby dressed up like Christian and Alina just chillin'

Holy WOW, March is half way gone!
Oh my goodness! Time has been flying by. You'd think that staying home all day, almost everyday of the week would make time go by so slow. The girls keep me very busy these days. Alina is sleeping less, but also does not eat as often! She does a lot of lying around on the floor playing. Gabby, is being the "needy" child lately. We spent the evening at the ER with her Thursday. She had a 103F fever, and so I made the call to take her in. Turns out she has a bladder infection. Well, it makes since, she has been doing so well potty training, that she is starting to "hold it" too long! So she is on antibiotics for that. Alina just finished taking antibiotics and doing breathing treatments for RSV. My little baby does not like have that mask held to her face, but she was a trooper! She is back to normal and playful as can be!
Chris will hopefully be starting his new job soon! He will be working at Cavendish Farms. It sounds like a good job, and he was told he will have a job there as long as he wants it. Meaning, he better want it!
We had our van delivered to the house on Friday. We have insurance for it on Friday, but we had to wait until today to go get the plate, and now we can officially drive it! It has been a HUGE pain in the butt getting this taken care of, but we are now we have it all taken care of!!
Well, I think that is it from our neck of the woods.

Alina's Neck & Something special for Christian!
Okay, I forgot that I have been really bad about updates, so I didn't even think about the fact that I had not mentioned her neck. Well, at her last pedi appointment, I pointed out that her head was very flat on one side, and that when ever I would try to turn her head the other way, she would SCREAM! He looked at it, and felt her muscles in her neck and said that it seems that the muscles are not developing correctly, so he has ordered an ultrasound on her neck. The ultrasound is on Monday and after that they will determine what physical therapy is needed. We are counting our blessings that this is the only thing we have to worry about with her now!
On another note, Christian came home from school yesterday VERY excited! He showed me this letter form the principal. He along with 14 other students from his school was selected to go on an all expenses paid ski trip to Quebec during March Break. It is sponsored by Tim Horton's. They will go skiing, and then go to the Parliament house in Ottawa. They also get to go to an NHL game while in Ottawa. He is so excited, and we are so glad he was selected. This gives him a fun, and educational thing to do over March break! So, yeah for Christian!

We're getting a mini-van
Well, not a whole lot new for us, but I thought I would post an update just to see if anyone still reads this besides my mom. We are doing well, as well as we can anyway. We keep pretty busy with the girls and all, but we would love it if CHris could get a job. I enjoy having him home so that I don't have to clean the house and cook dinner and take care of the girls, but there is a such thing as being around each other too much!
We are soon to be Mini-van owners! We finally found a van, and we will be sucking it up and driving the family ride. This will give Christian room to stretch his legs, rather than being crammed between 2 care seats. He has been a good sport about it, but he is not getting any shorter, he is actually taller than me (I know that does not take much!). So, as soon as we have it, I will get pictures up so you can see. We are very excited!
Alina's MRI went GREAT! She is okay! No problems! The only thing left to deal with is her neck. She will soon be starting physical therepy to stregthen the muscles so she can turn her head to the left.
Gabby is 2! She turned 2 on February 16th. There are pictures on my dropshots account. www.dropshots.com/tinymommy81
Other than all of that, nothing new... haha!

An unplanned, involuntary MIA
OMG! I am so glad to have power back! We lost power around 11pm on Monday, and have been without up until around 12:30ish PM (Atlantic time) today (although looking at the time, I guess it was yesterday now). We live in good ol’ PEI Canada… and there was a major ice storm here. The first two nights, we roughed it out here at the house… but once the no heat factor kicked in, and we were down to about 50 degrees F, I decided it was time for us to pack up the kids, and the dog, and head to the motel in the only town with power! We called just in time to get the only room that had just come available! Talk about lucky! So we spent the past 2 nights there, and that was a totally crazy experience. We had a devil of a time getting Gabby to bed at night, and she kept going into the little kitchen and turning on the oven! She also seemed to have a crazy fascination with the toilet there…. It was easy for her to flush, so she made sure and flushed it every chance she got!
When we returned home, our land lords wife was storming over to the house (BTW I really can’t stand her). She started yelling at Chris and telling him that he was basically a moron! She said that we were “negligent” and the pipes had frozen while we were gone, and the plumber was there fixing the problem. Chris went inside to talk to the plumber. The plumber told him that “no, the pipes did not freeze, you drained the pipes and turned off the pump!” Chris was so happy to hear that! Because he knew he had done everything that he should have done! I spoke to our land lord and he told me that next time we leave like that, just to let him know we are leaving, and tell him if we have drained the pipes so he knows.
So, another adventure under our belts! I have pictures from our little “vacation” to the hotel. I will post as soon as they are uploaded!

Still here!
Wow, it has been a while since I posted, so I guess I can give you guys a bit of an update. I don't get to use the computer as much as I used to. The girls are keeping me VERY busy! When one doesn't need me the other does, but they usually want me at the same time, all the time! I am sure many of you can relate to this! We still don't have any answers on what the deal is with Alina's "dimple" on her back. We are waiting for a call from Halifax to go for the MRI.
Gabby is growning like a weed, as is Alina. These kids don't stay small for very long. Gabby's vocabulary is incredible! She knows most of her body parts, and points them out on EVERYONE! She is very fond of the word "no" but does not overuse it. She has recently started nodding her head to answer yes. She loves to sing the "backpack" song from Dora! I can't believe how much she has changed in the last 6 months!
Christian is doing well. Since he skipped the 5th grade, and was put right into 6th grade, he has still maintained an A/B average in all subjects! We are so proud of him!
Chris is still hoping to find a job.... It would help if his immigration paperwork were approved already!
I think that is about it.... I am planning a trip to Halifax, just me and the girls... I want to see Ceri's twins, and catch up with some other friends in Hali as well!

Has the USA turned Nazi?
Wow, am I ever one PISSED woman! So, my grandparents were supposed to get her today, they were going to come up for Christmas. When they got to the airport, they found out that my grandmother would not be allowed to get on the plane. Why, you ask... well, it turns out that the USA has turned into a Nazi country! Even though it has been clearly stated all over the country that passports were not needed until January 2008, the airline told them that they HAD to HAVE the passport in hand to leave the country! Does this remind you of a time in history? My Grandmothers family came from Germany in 1914, her grandfather was in the Germany army, and had to sneak out of the country to get away from the problems they had to deal with there. Her mother was 13 years old at the time. So, even though my grandmother had not been faced with this personally, it still felt like a similar situation. If I had it my way, I would have them move up here with us and get out of that country. The USA is not only loosing sight of God, but also of the FREEDOM they so highly speak of. So, ask me if I have any regrets of moving back to Canada. I can clearly tell you that I have made the right choice to live in a country that has not turned Nazi!

Going to Halifax!
Okay, well, the time has come... Chris and I will being taking Alina to Halifax for an appointment on December 12th. She is getting her MRI on that dimple on her back! Any prayers are greatly appreciated! We are looking to leave here on the 11th, and spend the night there, so we wont be late.... I worry about the roads and all.... and the bridge.... the ever so long bridge to leave this crazy island!
While in Halifax, we will be doing a little looking. Since Chris can't find work on the island, he is now looking for work in Halifax. If he finds a job that can do the paperwork, we will be moving, AGAIN!

We have our hands FULL!
Oh my goodness. The fun never ends! I just thought one baby was a lot of work. Now, I have a toddler and a newborn, and both are VERY needy! Gabby is very good with Alina, but she does have her jealous moments. If I start to leave the room, she will wrap her arms around my legs and hold on tight. If I am holding Alina, she also wants to be in my lap, and continuosly gives "baby" kisses. She is hardly ever rough with Alina, but we have had a couple times where she hit her head pretty hard, or threw something and hit Alina with it. I don't think she does these things to hurt the baby, I think it is more for attention.
There is never a dull moment around here, like right now, Alina decided she wanted to wake up 2 hours early for a feeding.... this is why I can never update! I will leave you with a couple pictures of the girls in costume... Alina's costume is a chili pepper... although the smallest size was a 0-9 months so she liikes like she has been swallowed by the costume... Gabby was a bunny.... And Christian said he is "to old" to dress up, but he was a big help taking Gabby door to door.

There is never a dull moment around here, like right now, Alina decided she wanted to wake up 2 hours early for a feeding.... this is why I can never update! I will leave you with a couple pictures of the girls in costume... Alina and I are home!
And man am I ever tired! We have been through a lot since she was born, and I know my mom has filled you guys in with some... I will tell my story, and hopefully fill in the gaps.
On Thursday, my mom called and asked if I could come to the restaurant and work so she could go to a meeting. I told her, sure... since labor did not seem to want to happen. After my mom left, my dad and I were sitting there talking, and my body was VERY uncomfortable, and I had to stand up. I began pacing the floor... I walked around the restaurant for 2 hours because it was the only way I could tolerate the contractions. I called Chris and told him it was time to come and get me. We went to the hospital, and straight up to L&D and I was put on the monitors. My contractions at that point were between 5 and 10 minutes apart. My doctor was actually in the room when I got there. She was finishing up with another lady (which is a whole other funny story in itself...). She was not at all surprised to see me. She check me out and said "we are going to admit you, this baby is getting ready to come."
So now I was moved down the hall to one of the labor/delivery/recovery rooms. I went almost straight for the tub, but the nurse had to drill the 20 questions first. I learned that the tub does nothing for me... if anything, it made it worse! I got out after being in there for about 10 minutes. The bed was surprisingly comfortable... and I was able to get a little but of rest, before my water broke! Chris seemed a bit upset when I told him, because he had just gotten comfortable on the pull out bed. But he called the nurse in. When my water broke, I was at 7cm. My doctor came in, and they started setting everything up. That bed is SO COOL! Except, at that moment that was not what I was thinking... It was really uncomfortable the way they had me sitting up! I was starting to do pretty well breathing through the contractions! Chris was really good about reminding me on the breathing techniques. I went from breathing through the contractions to nearly crawling onto the floor. I was hurting so bad!! Chris said that at one point I said "I can't do it, I give up!" As if it were an option at that point! I caught the doctor and nurses off guard as it was time to push and they were not ready! They were pulling me, and telling me that I had to get back on my back, but I was very tense on my side clenching to the side bar of the bed. I finally gave, and got into position... 9 pushes later, we had a B-E-A-UTIFUL baby girl!

Alina has had some really bad congestion. A lot of mucus build up that has come out through both her nose and her throat. They had to put tubes down her throat to clear some of it out, as she could not breath. She has thrown up a few times which has cleared out a lot of it, so that seems to be under control.
Her other issue, the "dimple". Basically it is a deep dimple about an inch above where her butt hole is. It is similar in appearance to that of the butt hole. We will be traveling to Nova Scotia within the next 3 weeks to have an MRI done. As soon as I know more, I will let you guys know. The doctors do not seem too worried. My OB told me yesterday that if I plan to have more children, I need to start taking folic acid before getting pregnant.
I think that I have covered everything. Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers! We really appreciate it!
And now, for the pictures!

Fridays child is loving and giving
Hello everyone guest blogger Mam-gu here. I can’t figure get the comments thing to work (translation: I can’t remember the password & how my name was done for the blog Charles & Gwyn created for me) so Gwyn gave me her info and asked me to post the info on our newest addition to the Anderson/Crowther/Richards clan.
Alina Michelle Richards made her debut on Prince Edward Island in Canada at Prince County Hospital in the town of Summerside. She kept her Mom up for two days but finally made her appearance on Friday October 12, 2007 at 2:49 AM. She is already a night owl! She tipped the scales at 6 lb 7 oz and was 19in tall beating her big sister by ½ an inch although big sis weighted more. Head diameter was 33 cm. Sorry I don't know big bro details to add at this point. I'm sure Gwyn will fill you all in on those.
Gwyn had a drug free natural birth. Mommy & baby are doing well. Pictures will be posted when Gwyn & Alina get home. I took pictures but I don't know how to put them up. Alina is a cutie just like her big sis. She has a couple of Angel kisses like her sis as well. You’ll all see very soon.

Still in waiting....
Well our little bundle is still happy to remain in the womb. She seems rather cozy in there. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I am trying to avoid induction, as my doctor feels that this baby seems to want to do it on her own. With Gabby, I had to be induced because my water broke, and I did not dilate at all. This time I am dilating, but my water has not broken. We shall see where I am at tomorrow, maybe she will come this week! But, I am in no hurry anymore.... I was wanting to push her to get out, because I really wanted her to come in September... Christian's birthday is October 14th, and we don't want to take that away from him... they will be really close, if not on the same day! But, for all of those who have been worried.... I am measuring small, that is way there has been no rush to induce. A week ago (3 days before my "due date") I was measuring in at 38 weeks. So I am guessing I will be measuring in at 39 weeks tomorrow.
When baby does come, I will have my mom post a reply on the most recent post on my blog for you guys. She is "Mam-gu" on the comments. I want this kid to come as much as all of you guys want to meet her via blogdom!
Hope to be making the announcement soon!

My Doctor's Appointment... with a twist
Okay, so I went to my Doctors appointment yesterday, and she took one look at me and said "What's wrong!" I began to tell her about the head ache I have had for the past 3 days.... It was so bad 2 nights ago that I was dizzy, nauseous, and sweating! She did the weekly check up, and then wrote out a sheet for me to take to Labor & Delivery. I was hooked up to IV and they had this stuff pumping in me SOOOOO fast! I went through God only knows how many IV bags, and some sort of pain killers (I forget which one) The meds seemed to kick in pretty quick, and the nurses were very nice! My hand hurts really bad from the IV though, they had a hard time finding a good vein! All in all, not a bad trip... still pregnant though!
3.5 cm dilated
50% effaced
gained a little too much weight this week... I am up to 23 lb gained this pregnancy.

Still Pregnant!
I seriously thought this baby would be here in September! I have just under 12 hours for that to be a reality! It is looking like this kid is too cool for school! She is quite happy inside, and not wanting to make her debut! I guess in a way, this is a good thing, as our dearest daughter Gabriella has decided to train us in the use of her toddler bed! Yes, I said she is training us! We had no choice but to move her into the toddler bed, as she discovered that she could also climb out of the crib... We have been able to lock her in her room at night, so she sometimes cries, but has made it two night now. Nap time is another story! The only way I can get her to nap is to either take a drive, or put her in Joe's travel Kennel. Joe has never used it, and Gabby uses it as a play house! She LOVES her room, and has made quite the toy carpet out of it this morning. And, she learned how to open her dresser drawers and pulled out ALL of her clean laundry, and put it in her hamper with ALL of her dirty laundry! Can we say TERRIBLE almost TWOS! Once this baby comes, I may never have a chance to blog again!!! The two of them will have me way to busy!
Christian is helping a lot with Gabby today! She wants to be up in her room playing, and he is in his room playing Play Station, so he is checking on her for me. Saves me going up and down the stairs! I very much miss the days when Gabby would just lay around all day and coo! I miss those days sooooooo much!

Gabby's Bum & a Poll
Is okay! For the most part anyway. We are still keeping a close eye on it. It turns out that is was a skin irritation that may have been caused by walmart diapers... so we are spending the big bucks on Pampers for outings.... I am trying to do cloth at home, but I am alone on that, since Chris thinks they are nasty!
Now... for the Poll... Tell me, when will my baby be born, and how big will SHE be?

And back to the ER....
Well, Gabby and I had a nice visit in New Brunswick! We got to see Tyler and Denise and their baby, and Steph and Ben and their baby.... And we also went to Sussex, and Gabby met some of the greatest professors and staff, and we ran into Ceri for about 5 minutes. It was so neat to see all these people again!
On Friday, when we were coming back to the island, I noticed another spot on her bum. This time it was on the other side. It looked just like the first one... I decided to wait and see what happened with it. When it was still there Sunday morning, Chris and I chose to take her back to the ER. Good thing we did. As it turns out, it may not be a bite of any kind after all. It may be a virus. The doctor poked it with a needle and took a sample of the puss (sorry TMI). I didn't watch, Chris held her, but he said that it just kept ooozing... She is on a different antibiotic, and we are putting polysporin on the spot, and covering it with so gauzy bandage.... She is still her normal self, and she was such a good girl! We will know the results of the sample in about 3 days.... I will post again when we find out.

A position to choose...
There are times in life where we have to make choices that we don't want to make. These choices can sometimes cause a lot of hurt ant pain. I have recently been put into a position where I had to make such a choice, and it is not something I am happy about.
I always said that if a person put me into a position to choice between them and another, the one who was asking me to make the choice would be the one that I did without. Well, I was forced into this problem today. I will not go into any detail, as I don't think that is fair to the parties involved, but please pray for both sides of this situation.

A BUM UPDATE
Okay, we had another follow-up appointment today about Gabby's bite on her bum... The surgeon says it looks like her body and the antibiotics are doing the trick, so he does not see the need to cut and drain!!!! YEAH! But, he said to keep an eye on it, and call him if it has not cleared up within a week. So, GOOD NEWS!!!!

A 2nd Trip to the ER
**Added September 8**
I guess I forgot to post last weekend... We first noticed the bite over a month ago, but to us it looked like an ant bite, and we did not think anything of it, and it seemed to be going away. There was still a little pink spot, but it did not seem like anything to worry about. Well, on Saturday I noticed that out of nowhere, it just flared up! It was bright red all around the bite and the bite itself was all pussy. So, I took her over to my mom's place and my mom and I headed for the ER. They told me at the ER that if we had not come in when we did, it could have turned to a staff infection! Those are NO FUN... my little brother had one a few years ago. So, the doctor put her on Amoxi and told me to take her to her family doctor on Friday.... So, we had a nurses appointment at 9am, and she asked me to come back at 10am for the doctor to look at it... and this is where my original post picks up
**end add**
So Gabby had her follow up appointment with her doctor today... She checked out the infected area on the bum, and said "it does not appear to have changed any." She called the hospital, and told them she was sending us over to see the surgeon. YIKES! I about went into panic mode at this point. She told me that since the antibiotics did not seem to be clearing up the problem, they may have to cut and drain the spot..... My poor baby! So I took Gabby to Walmart before we went to the hospital and got her some juice and some fruit snacks.... I figured we might have to wait a while since we were going through the ER. It took about 3 hours at the hospital... We saw the triage nurse first, and she took all of the vitals.... and then about 45 minutes later, Gabby was put into a room. She laid on her belly colouring a picture while we waited for the surgeon to come in and take a look. He looked at it and said "I hate to cut and scar such a cute little bum... lets give the antibiotics until Monday to work on it, and we will have another look then. If it is still rock hard and oozing, then we will set up to cut and drain the infection."
If you came for a visit and saw Gabby, you would never know that she is having this problem, because she is her normal self, unless we touch "that spot"! She is running all over the place and getting into everything, as always!
So, Monday we will see where we go next! Keep your fingers crossed that the antibiotics do the trick! I can't handle my baby girl being put under! And, I really want to know what did this to her! He said it look like a venom injecting bite. UGH!
Okay, novel over. Thanks for reading!

Taming of the Toddler
So I am trying to figure out how to contain my dearest daughter Gabriella! She can now successfully climb in and out of all of her "cages" without getting hurt! Her crib is the only thing I can lock her in that she has not tried to climb out of, but I know she will be working on that one next. I am worried actually.... because we have the stairs... and she is still not 100% stable going down on her own. I am so afraid she is going to climb out of the crib at night and fall down the stairs. Baby gates are useless, as she climbs right over them... I am out of ideas! Please help! Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Happy Hump Day!
So my appointment today went "okay" I guess I am just not satisfied with the doctor... She seems very unprofessional at times, but she does seem to know what she is talking about. She is very quiet and hard to hear.
As for measurements.... I am measuring at 33 weeks exactly... That is a week and a half behind my due date... Here I was thinking that this baby wanted out now... She told me that she doesn't think we will meet our little bundle until at least October 14th... My due date is October 6th! And October 14th is Christian's birthday.... this could be good or bad... he will be 11 this year. So, I am not really sure if I am happy or not.... I am really looking forward to meeting this baby, but I don't want her to come before she is ready either.... She told me that everything looks good.... blood, pee, weight gain...... So that is good. She has some concerns on our family medical history, but nothing to worry to much over, Gabby turned out just fine!
My next appointment is in 2 weeks (September 12) then another 2 weeks after that.... then I start going every week.... I could have sworn I started the once a week appointments earlier with Gabby... but maybe not, I don't know.
Oh, and the Charlie horses every morning... she showed me some stretches to do before bed that should help loosen my muscles and try to prevent those from happening.
Ok, novel over! Happy Hump Day to everyone!

Good news gone bad!
So that job offer that Chris got fell through. They were not willing to wait for the work visa to go through. So, now we are back to the "what are we going to do" stage. We are both starting to agree that we should have waited on moving. I can easily find work, but Chris wants me to be able to stay home with the kids so he can support the family. But it is killing him that he can't get a job. I seriously think he may be depressed. It is stressing the whole family out, and it sucks! He had an interview with Staples today. It was the first of three interviews with them. He feels like it went really well. The second interview is on Monday at 11. All you prayer warriors out there, we could really use your prayers for this one! If this one does not work out, Chris is looking at flying down to Florida to live with his dad and working. Then he will send money up to me to help pay the bills. We really don't want to have to take it that route, but it may have to happen.
I got my sewing machine peddle in the mail today, and I have already made one cloth diaper! I am so excited to be sewing again!!! I need to get some fabric so I can make my babies some matching clothes! They will kill me for it when they are older, but I think it will be cute!
I have been experiencing contractions the past few days... nothing regular, just random, but it is something I never had with Gabby. This baby means business!
Well, that is all for now.

A bit of news...
Okay, so here is what is going on with us...
Things seem to be on the up and up! DH got a job! YEAH!!! We are very excited, because we can rest assured that we will be okay this year!
Also, the sewing machine that I got about a week ago... I went to plug it in and use it yesterday, but I couldn't... because it had the wrong plug/peddle! I was so upset! And to top it off, we could not find the receipt! Well, I called the company that makes it today... and the lady I spoke with told me that she would check and see if they had any in stock, and if they did, she would call me with a price.... She called back while I was at work, and told DH that they were sending us one, free of charge! Sweet deal, considering I got this $300 machine for around $90!!! So, YEAH!!
And, finally... I had a Tea Leaf Reading done today. I had never heard of this until I moved to PEI.... It is kind of neat, for those who have never heard of it before, basically you drink a cup of hot tea, it is a loose tea, so you have to avoid drinking down tea leaves. When you have just a little liquid left, the tea leaf reader comes to you and tells you what the leaves represent. Well, my leaves basically said that there will be no shortage of money, that stability is on it's way, and that my life is a bit torn in two different directions. I could not have put my life in better words myself.... Considering that I have been doing pretty well in Tips lately at the restaurant, and the news of DH's new job.... so that explains no shortage of money... the stability I think co-insides with the job factor for DH and knowing everything will be okay! And the thing with my life being torn in two directions has to do with the fact that my parents treat DH like and keep telling me that I have changed for the worse in the last 2 years.... and that I need to rethink my choices... I love my family, and my dad and I have always been close, but in the past two months, we hardly talk... this is painful... DH is willing to leave if it would make my life easier, but that is not what I want! Yes, he can be a pain in the @$$ sometimes, but so can I! It is usually when we are both stressed because of my parents... I know they don't mean everything that they say, but DH is done with them, and wants nothing to do with them, because they have said the wrong thing to many times! So, yes, I am torn in two directions, but the one who wants me to choose between them and the other is the one that will loose out! Nobody can ask me to make a choice like that!
So, that is what is going on.... Mostly good news... with a twist of the regular parents stressing me out story!
Sorry about the novel!

So, there is not much new going on around here... we are pretty much settled into the house, and into the community. We finally got our PEI plate on the car. I still have not gone to get the PEI drivers licence... it cost so much! We are still trying to find Chris a new job. This is a hard task to complete, as he has to find an employer who is willing to work with imigration to get a work visa. This is about a one week process, if the company has already advertised the job to Canadians. So, we are in the waiting game with the places he has dropped off his resume.
Gabby has hit the terrible twos BIG TIME.... and she is only 17.5 months! If I let her run loose in the house, she loves to go to the mud room and put on my shoes and walk around the house.... I want this to stop before the snow starts coming... just think of what a mess that will make! Another thing she enjoys with her new found freedom is going up-stairs, BY HERSELF! That's right! The child will sneak upstairs and get into her toybox, having a grand old time. I'm okay with her going upstairs, because she is good at it... but going down is still a struggle, and I am afraid she is going to fall one of these days... A fall down these stairs could be deadly... they are very steap and narrow (80 year old house)!
She has yet to grow anymore teeth since we got here... she still just has the 8 front teeth... I thought for sure she would have some molars by now, but no, nothing new in there. She does love to brush her teeth though! She is so proud of them!
Christian loves it here! When we told him there was a possibility that we might move to New Brunswick if we can't find Chris a job here, Christian got very upset! He has made a few friends, and loves living so close to water (we have water front property). So, here's to hoping Chris gets a job offer!
Well, I think that is about all I have update wise. We are all doing great! The baby inside of me is very active, even more so than Gabby was. She is bound to be a soccer player or dancer... can't really tell yet.

Yes, it's been a while...
But if you had been used to using high speed, and moved to the boonies where high speed is not offered.... you would not spend as much time using dial up, now would you!?
Well, the only news I really have right now is that I am re-thinking this pregnancy! I found out today at my doctors visit that they do not offer epidurals in PEI! I'm going to die!!!!!! You guys know how I am with needles! Just think of this big baby making it through a delivery drugless!!!!!!!! UGH!
Ok, bed time...

We are on the Island
And have been for a while now... Gabby and I got here on the 9th of June and Chris and Christian got here the following Thursday. We have been pretty busy since getting here. Not a lot of time for the net. And you all know that is killing me! Well, he can't get high speed, because they don't have it in the boonies yet, and dial up is so freaking slow! So, once I get a library card, I will be trying to update at least once a week. We got dial up, be we are going to get rid of it... it is just not worth $30 a month to sit and wait 30 minutes for a page to load!
The kids are doing well. Gabby now has her own room, but anytime she sleeps in there, she throws up, so she is back in the room with Mommy and Daddy. We got her a toddler bed, but have not started on it yet, because the house is still not baby proof....... Gabby plus stairs = BAD!!!
Well, I need to run, I will try and update more soon!

Update...
Doctor's office called back... We have an ultrasound at 2:30 tomorrow.... YEAH! Check out Gabby's blog to see what cheered me up when I got home from work!
It was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!
Today stinks! I am at a job that I hate, with no work to do, and I am forced to be here because my "boss" refuses to sign me out. I have been done since yesterday! My classroom is clean, all my things are turned in. Everything is signed off, except the things that SHE has to sign... why are they wasting my time....
And then, if things were not sucky enough already, my doctors office had to cancel my ultrasound today! They have no power because of the storms we had yesterday/last night. This is so not fair!! I have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting... and now, I have to wait even longer!!!!

Another trip to San Antonio...
And our last for a while. Gabby had a good time with Mimi and Gand-dad. We are going to miss them a lot after the move! Here are a few pics from our trip. You can see a few more on Gabby's blog.

Blame it on the baby!
Okay, so my last post was a bit extreme... This pregnancy has me acting so WEIRD!! It is nothing like the one I had with Gabby.... I think Gabby made me very calm (while in my tummy) but this one seems to make me moody, and short tempered... and all kinds of stuff. I don't eat much, not because of morning sickness, but because I'm just not hungry. Weith Gabby, I was ALWAYS eating! Ask anyone here! So this is just a quick note to appoligise for my last post... I know that was extreme, and I don't expect that many people to comment just because I am demanding it... That does not really show you care... I would rather you comment because you want to. So, I am still blogging, but keep in mind that this is the last week I have kids in class, so my time is still limited... Also, we leave in 15 days, so travel time may have no internet time.....

I'm a neglected blogger!
I have decided that not enough people comment on my blog. That makes me sad. I may not have the most exciting things to say, and I may not have the amazing theology that many of my blogging friends have, but it would be nice to know that I have friends out there checking up on how my life is going. This may sound selfish, but I like to know that y'all care about ol' Gwynnie too! So, this is my last post... until I get at least 30 replies to this post, I will not post any more. Not repeat posts will count..... Every post has to come from a different person. So, let the games begin.

This that and the other
So, what is going on in my mind? Wow! I have been thinking a lot lately about this baby. I mean is it a boy or a girl? What will he or she be like? Will the bond with this one be as strong as the one I have with Gabby? Will I be able to share my love with my husband and 3 children, rather than just 2? So many questions, and no answers! In my gut, I think this is a boy, but let me point out that my gut said boy with Gabby, and she is CLEARLY all GIRL! And then there are the crazy things, like what GAbby has been doing lately... she sticks her fingers to her throat and gags herself, usually causing herself to throw up! We go threw a lot of sheets in a day. Will this baby do that too? I don't know where she came up with that! And, why does she like to do it so much???
On another note, school is getting closer to an end. This is the last week that we do work really, and Thursday is actually the end, per say. Friday we will spend the day at a park and walk 3 miles. Then we will have lunch and the kids will swim for the afternoon. Busy, yet relaxing day. I am not looking forward to the 90-95* weather though! It gets so hot here! Next week is basically parties and fun. Nothing counts for a grade, and nothing really seems to matter. My students will be helping me sort out my "junk" and returning books to the bookroom, and library. Oh the joys of being a teacher!
Well, I guess that is it for my little update. Hope all is well!

Hamburger or Hotdog?
Okay, in 21 days (on May 31st) we MIGHT find out the gender of the baby. If by chance s/he is showing off what they have down there. So, tell me, what do you think? Boy or girl? List your guesses!

Not much longer now....
Well, after this week, I have 2 weeks left with the kids. And then one more week at the school... I think it is stupid that I have to be here the following week.... it is not like I have anything to do.... UGH! The baby has been moving around more and more everyday, it is a cool feeling! Gabby is growing up way to fast! Chris told me that she was counting this morning!!! Oh my goodness, where did my baby go????? Christian is excited about moving up north! He wants a snow mobil, and a couple of huskies! Chris is ready to move out of Houston! He told me this morning that he is sick of living here! Not much longer!!!

Calling all BBC friends in Maine & NB
Gabby and I need a ride from Bangor to St. John.... If anyone would like to spend a little time in your car driving Gabby and I from Bangor Maine to St. John New Brunswick, please let me know. We are flying into New Hampshire on June 6th, and Tammy is picking us up there... Due to a recent realization, Tammy will not be able to take us to St. John, without pushing herself to the limit with her job. Anytime from June 7th (that's a Thursday) through June 9th (that's a Saturday) would work, as long as Tammy does not get tired of us. Please let me know if you can help. I'll cover gas! I promise! Thanks!

So happy birthday
Pain and sorrow fill the air
People dying everywhere
But it's my birthday
So Happy Birthday

This and that
Wow... it has been a long week, but it went by pretty fast! Okay, so here is what has happened in a nut shell:
* We had testing all week at the school, so no teaching
* We closed our cell phone account
* We chose baby names (but we are not telling... to many people had to put in their two cents about the names we had picked out last time)
* We found a momma cat and 3 kittens up in the engine area of the car... It took almost an hour to get them all out!
* I have offically told all of my co-workers and students that I am moving and I am pregnant!
And, as always, I am sure I left something out, but I am human, and pregnant, so I am excused! Have a good day!

It's coming together...

WOW! In just over a week, I will have been in this world for 26 years.... then a month and a day after that, I will be on a plan with Gabby heading up north. Now, if we could just push a mute button on my mother in law so the packing could be done without all her complaining! We are about half way done packing, and the plan is for it ALL to be done before Gabby and I leave. We are taking beds apart this weekend.... we will have our matresses on the floor.... except for Gabby, her bed stays together so that she can remain locked up at night, haha. Her crib is easy to take apart though.
This is an easy week at work, testing all week! So... kick back, relax and read instructions..... Well, I don't get to sit back and relax, I have to walk around the room, but still, it is a cake walk.
But, next week, it is back to the norm.

Frosh Week & the GREAT Beanies!

As you know, my family will be heading back to Canada. We are tired of Texas and are ready for a change. I have been going through stuff and packing things that I need to keep, and tossing things that I think it is time to let go. Well.... I came across my FROSH WEEK BEANIE! Yes, I still have it! I'd like to take a poll.... if I the only one that hung on to this silly thing? If I am the only one.... I may keep it, just for the fact that I have it.... if I am not, I want to know who is as silly as I am!

TGIF!!!!
OMG!! The week went by soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow! I am so glad that it is Friday... I needed the weekend so bad! We will spend most of the weekend packing, but I think we may take a trip to the park, since the weather should be nice. I really don't have much more to say... just wanted to give my quick update!

Little House on the Island

I think we may begin our own TV show once we move up. It makes for a cute title... Just a little take off of Little House on the Prairie. I am getting pretty excited about moving up! I only have 6 weeks left of working for the school, and then I AM FREE! Chris and I need to find a house with yard space so that Joe can run around. Joe is a family member, so the house has to work for him too! So there is this house down the street from may parents place that Chris has seen from the outside. We know that it needs work, but we want something that we can make our own... so we think this may work. I have never seen it, but I hope to at least see some pictures before making the BIG decision! We can rent it to start out, and then work towards buying it, once we get on our feet!
Well, that is about all I have for today, but I will leave you with a picture of Gabby giving her baby kisses!

Hard Boiled Eggs
Okay, so I feel like a retard! I seriously can't cook anything! So, I was cooking the eggs so that I could make Chris some deviled eggs (he loves them, and I have the day off from work). Anyway... As I was peeling the shell off one of the last eggs, I could tell the yolk was not fully cooked, so I popped the de-shelled egg on a plate and cooked it in the microwave for 20 seconds. When I put the knife in it to cut it in half, it EXPLODED!!! There is egg ALL over my kitchen!!!! UGH!
**Now, you all know what a bad idea it is to let me in the kitchen alone!**

A wee little update....
Okay, so I have found that the closer I get to the end of the school year, the less time I have spent on blogger. Well, this is our update, in a nutshell....
* Pregnancy is going well... I only have mild tummy issues
* Gabby is turning into a whinney toddler (UGH!)
* 7 weeks until my contract is over!!!
* 8ish weeks until our "possible" moving date
* My grandparents have been married for 50 years!!
* My parents should be close to Canada, if not already back across the boarder.
* The house has not sold yet :(
* We have not done much packing
* I need to throw away a lot of junk that I have saved due to my upbringing as a packrat!
* I have yet to gain weight, actually I have lost a few pounds!
I am sure I forgot something... I may add to this list, so check back.... My next step is adding pictures to my photo blog... so check that too....

Oh, and I went for my first appointment with my new OBGYN.... I am SO unhappy! My doctor was supposed to be a woman.... this was clearly a man, they do not allow children in the doctors office, so Chris and Gabby had to go sit in the car.... and they only do ultrasounds on Thursdays from 8am-2pm.... so if I am to have one, I have to take time off work! Needless to say, I am looking for a new OBGYN.... they were nice and all, but it just seemed off... ya know.

Differences....
Well, now that I am nine WEEKS pregnant, I thought that I would begin my list of things that are different this pregnancy from the last.... The easy way out would be to say everything, but that would make this post short and boring... so for those who have never been through a pregnancy.... this one's for you.
With Gabby: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~With Current Pregnancy:
NEVER got sick ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sick to my tummy often
Very energetic ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Always sleepy
Calm and relaxed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Moody and always yelling at
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Chris (poor guy!)
Little or no emotional break downs ~~Cry at everything! Even
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~commercials on TV
Completed all work duties on time ~~~Late to work, turning in
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~paperwork late
I am sure there is more that I am forgetting, and I will most likely update my list as this pregnancy goes on. This all being said, I think that porcelain throne is calling my name....
Feeling pregnant...
This morning, I for the first time ever, experienced morning sickness during pregnancy! That's right, I never got it with Gabby! This little booger inside of me better be a boy! Man I felt like pooh this morning, but I did make it to work, and on time too. I left my house and hour later than normal, obeyed all the traffic laws, and I was to work with 15 minutes to spare. Granted I felt like you know what, and everyone could tell. The kids were very good today, so I did not have to raise my voice, not that I have much of a voice to raise right now.
Well, that is about all I have for this evening. Not much new going on.
Congrats to Angela and Morgan on their B-E-A-UTIFUL baby girl, who just so happens to share a birthday with Gabby :)
I'm Sick!
I have a viral infection! UGH! It's not fair! What did I do to deserve this? My voice is almost all gone... the doctor said to spend the rest of the week in bed... well, that is boring! GAbby is sick too... Chris just left with her to her doctor. We shall see how that works out. Her nose is so raw that it is bleeding... she screens when we wipe it.... We have to pin her down to clean it, and she tries to cover her nose with her hands. Poor thing! So, Gabby's birthday is tomorrow.... and her party is supposed to be on Saturday.... Well... we had to post pone it :(
****added around 7:20pm central****
Gabby's doctor visit went well.... As well as it could I guess. She has her first ear infection, and an infection around her little nose. Her birthday is tomorrow... poor baby!
Nothing new really...
Hey guys... I really don't have any new news to report.... We are trying to figure out what to do for Gabby's birthday, as it will be here in only a few weeks.... We want to have a small party and invite close friends and family..... But the house is not really big enough, and we are on a budget... We thought about Chuck-E-Cheeses, but Gabby would not really have any fun there..... Any suggestions?
Ice on the roads...
That's right... There is ice on the roads in Houston (TEXAS). They have closed most of the schools in Houston, including mine. The only major school district open is the one that Christian is in. He was not a happy camper when he sat there watching the news, only to find out that he is in one of the few schools that had to be there today. The majority of Houston is closed for the day... It is rather humorous actually. I have no problem driving in this weather, nor does Chris... But it is the rest of Houston that scares us. Houstonians are not accustomed to this weather! So, I will take this extra day with my Gabster, and live it up!
7th Heaven...
So if you really know me, you know that I love 7th Heaven... And I really hope that they keep it up, even though they already tried to end it once. Anyway, I came across this little quiz to find out which 7th Heaven cast member you are most like... and my answer came out.....
Wow, look at that shiny halo! You're like Lucy Camden -- virtuous, wholesome, and respectable. Are you sure you aren't a Camden yourself?
Christmas...
WOW! Christmas was, shall we say, interesting! The day that my mom and the kids and I left for Canada, we were supposed to leave by 5am. Well, that of course, did not happen. Mainly because my moms cat is a stubborn old bitty! I had her in her cage and ready to go... But my little brother and I were taking her out to go to the restroom before the long trip. Well, she managed to get out of her harness, and she took off! We spent 5 hours chasing that STUPID cat around the neighborhood! I finally sweet talked her into coming with me.... You know, in baby talk "come on Cinza, come on baby.... It's okay..." Well within seconds she was rubbing against my legs and I grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and carried her to my mom's house. We then tranquilizer her and put her in her carrier. Be-be (my moms other cat) never left our sight.... I think she was just so freaked out about the move... The cats could tell something was going on.
So we finally got on the road around 10am.... The kids were great... My mom slept.... I drove until I could not drive anymore... and we only made it to West Memphis, Arkansas.... Not bad for only having about 4 hours of sleep, and then chasing a STUPID cat around the neighborhood for 5 hours! Our second day on the road, we made a lot more progress, we made it just past Lansing, MI. We stopped there for the night so that we would not be crossing the Canada border late at night.... Because Gabby would not be a happy camper!
Our border crossing was easy.... They took care of my moms paperwork (since she was moving to Canada) and they did not even ask me for my passport or anything for the kids! That really bothered me, because I could have been a kid-napper..... But, it was also good, because we were done in about 10 minutes! 4 hours later, we were at my aunt and uncles house. Gabby, Christian and I went and woke up Chris (who we had not seen for 2 weeks). He looked so different. He lost weight! After we had been there about an hour, he told me that his tooth was really bothering him. I asked if he wanted to go to the dentist and he said no.... He wanted to wait till we got home. Well, the next morning his check was SO puffy! I took him to the dentist, and sure enough, he had a massive infection. They put him on anti-biotic and the next day the tooth (well the roots of the toothy, was all that was left) was pulled. It was a wisdom tooth. They also told him that the one on the other side was doing the same thing, so we made an appointment for that one to be pulled 2 days later. The dentist that was there at the time was not able to do it, so instead, he got two fillings that day.
Christmas was good. The kids got lots of presents from all the family in Canada. And the family loved Gabby! Oh, and my little stinker started walking while we were there! LOOK OUT WORLD! So, here are some pics from Christmas I had more, but a computer glich caused me to loose a lot of pictures....
Well, we have been back in Houston for a couple days now. Our trip home went very smoothly! Our first day on the road, we did not leave until about 1pm (Ontario time) due to a tooth being pulled, and my mom not wanting us to leave... But we wanted to at least get a start. We stopped for the night at a motel somewhere in Ohio... About 30 minutes from Kentucky.... Then we got up around 8am the next morning and hit the road. We did not stop (except for restroom breaks and eating) until we got to Conroe, Texas to drop off Maurice (my big brother). That was around 3am. We got back to our house around 4am, and none of us could sleep. Gabby wanted to play, Christian wanted to play his Playstation (which he missed like crazy) and Chris and I were just not ready for bed. So we played with Gabby for a while. I guess around 5ish we layed down... Gabby fell asleep... I don't think that Christian ever went to bed. We slept for a couple hours... And we were up opening MORE presents. Chris' dad sent two big boxes of presents for us. These kids have so many toys, and nowhere to put them! Gabby needs her own room SO bad!
We're in Canada EH?
Hey everyone! So, I know it has been a while since I updated... So here is a quick update to catch y'all up on a few things. The first half of my last school year in Houston is OVER! Now I just have to make it through May... Our plans as of now are still to move to Canada... Chris spend some time on PEI and he said the winter there seems quite depressing! I have never been there during the winter. But, regardless, we ARE moving to Canada! I am so done with Texas! Gabby cut another tooth on Saturday,it is on the top left. My baby girl is growing up so fast, it's hard to believe she is going be a year old in 2 month.
Chris had a really bad tooth ache the day that my mom, the kids and I got here. He was miserable all night. My dad and I took him to the dentist yesterday. He has a very bad infection, so he is on antibiotics. Once the infection is gone, the tooth must go... In a way, I am glad that this happened in Canada... they are so much nicer, and the prices are much better!
Well, that is about all I have for you for now. I will try and give more updates during the break, and I plan to have Christmas morning pictures up as soon as that happens!
Have a Great Christmas!
To quiet!
WOW! It is too quiet at my house. Christian is across the street at a friends house, helping her with her computer, Gabby is in bed, and Chris is out of town. He left early this morning with my dad and Maurice (older brother) to drive to PEI. Yes, that's right, the love of my life has taken off with my daddy and my bu-bu! Since they left, I did some painting at my parents house here in Houston (it goes on the market either tomorrow or Tuesday), I have gone shopping for winter clothes for Gabby (found some very good deals!), I have washed all the laundry, I changed the door knobs in our bedroom, and I have cleaned the bedroom! Now that I am out of chores to do, all that is left is blogging and watching TV.
Things that are new: Gabby says bu-bye and waves while she does it... she started that almost a week ago, I think. She is trying so hard to walk... she has the standing part down... She is 100% weaned.... Pumping was getting to difficult... I did not have enough time, nor energy. Since I started weaning, I have been more energetic and less moody!
10 school days until Christmas break!
